Fast as you can

There have been lots of efforts by peace activists to bring the troops home. Marches, concerts, and civil disobedience have all fallen on deaf ears. When I participated in the Troops Home Fast, my low expectations were blown away. Not only has it made a difference politically, but I’ve learned a lot about my own “internal politics”.

Pope Leo X, despite having an awesome rap star name, is immortalized in time as the Pope to get 95 bitch slaps from Martin Luther. Luther was excommunicated and had to go into hiding, but spawned The Reformation nonetheless. Not bad for one piece of paper nailed to a door.

Zen Booleanism

Logic has come a long way since the time of Aristotle. While my mind is continually blown at the fact that some dude in a chlamys sat down one day and “invented” logic, I am not alone in questioning his stubborn assertion that every statement is either true or false.

Apple's Human Interface Guidelines

I spent all morning poring over Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines. One might imagine that they are quite spectacular. If you’re not a developer of Apple software (which, strictly statistically, you probably aren’t), you can still find plenty of value in “Part I: Application Design Fundamentals”. In fact, I printed out pages 23 through 52 and they now sit on my bookshelf.
